About Us
We are a surf school based in the village of Machico, on the east coast of Madeira.
Located in the heart of the island, we have easy access to beautiful surf spots and stunning scenery, with clear waters, consistent waves, and year-round sunshine.
With over 12 years of experience, our coaches are passionate about surfing and dedicated to helping you improve your skills, whatever your level. Let’s hit the waves together!
We offer comprehensive surf lessons for all levels, from complete beginners to advanced surfers, tailored to your individual goals and ability.
Our small group sizes mean you'll receive individualised instruction and guidance, helping you progress quickly, safely, and with confidence.
Choose from a range of surf packages, including group lessons, private sessions, guided surf trips, and full surf camps. Something for every schedule and skill level.

Our process
Getting to the surf spot
We meet at our surf school in Machico (transfers from Funchal available — details below).
Once at the base, we provide the right equipment and prepare for your lesson.
Surf Theory
Learn surf stance, pop-up technique, wave selection, and reading conditions
We analyse your current technique (if applicable) to support improvement
Ocean awareness, water safety, and surf spot orientation
Warm up & Surf
Pre-surf warm-up to avoid injury
At least 1.5 hours in the water
Surf manoeuvres by level:
Beginners:
take-off, drop, and bottom turns
Intermediate:
speed generation, bottom-to-top turns, and more
Analysis & Drop off
Personal feedback and advice to take into your next surf session
Full session analysis available on request

Free parking is available just after Exit 25 from VR1 (at the right hand side of the roundabout) - Google Maps
Paid parking available at Forum Machico.
Pick-Up point in funchal
Transfer is available at 10€ per person per day.
Pick-up: Av. Sá Carneiro (close to CR7 museum), around 1 hour before your lesson
For transfers from any other location, please contact us.
